For prospective homeowners in Pakistan, understanding current cement prices is crucial when planning construction projects. As of January 2025, there’s good news: prices for leading cement brands have seen a decline.
Cement Prices Drop in Pakistan – January 2025 Top brands such as Bestway Cement, Maple Leaf Cement, and DG Khan Cement are now priced at approximately Rs 1387 per bag. Other brands are also available in the market, with prices hovering around Rs 1400 per bag. This downward trend in cement prices reflects current market demand and import conditions impacting Pakistan’s construction industry. These price changes are also being affected by market trends and steel availability.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s cement export industry is experiencing growth. During the first half of the fiscal year 2024-25, cement exports rose by 23.21 percent compared to the same period last year.
According to data from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), cement exports reached US $167.472 million during July-December 2024-25, up from US $135.925 million in July-December 2023-24. This growth is also reflected in export volume, which increased by 33.82 percent, from 3,505,672 metric tons to 4,691,376 metric tons.
On a year-over-year basis, cement exports in December 2024 saw a significant increase of 45.47 percent, reaching US $31.898 million compared to US $21.927 million in December 2023. Monthly exports also grew, with a 3.04 percent increase in December 2024 compared to November 2024, rising from US $30.957 million to US $31.898 million, as reported by the PBS.
